Description

This Omnia-Bread with tomatoes and ham is a hearty dish that is ideal as a main course. The dough is prepared in the Thermomix® and topped with a delicious tomato-ham-cheese filling. Preparation takes about 25 minutes, the baking time is about 30-40 minutes. The recipe is designed for 4 servings.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 15 g fresh Yeast
  • 400 g Flour
  • 2.5 TL Salt
  • 4 Stück Tomatoes
  • Pepper
  • 1 EL Oregano
  • 150 g Cooked ham
  • 200 g Grated cheese

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare yeast dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add 240 ml water, 15 g fresh yeast (or 5 g dry yeast), 400 g flour and 1/2 tsp salt to the mixing bowl. Use the Patix dough knife instead of the standard knife for 2 min./kneading stage to knead into a smooth dough.

Let the dough rise

Shape the dough into a ball, place in a bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Prepare Omnia-Mold

In the meantime, grease the Omnia mold or insert the silicone mold.

Prepare tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes and cut out the stalk. Place the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid, select the fine slice and slice the tomatoes. Place the cut material in a bowl.

Prepare tomato sauce

In a bowl, mix the sliced tomatoes with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper and 1 tbsp oregano.

Prepare ham and cheese

Cut 150 g cooked ham into fine cubes and stir into the tomato sauce together with 200 g grated cheese.

Roll out and top dough

Roll out or pull the dough on a floured work surface to a 50 x 30 cm rectangle. Spread the tomato mixture evenly on top, leaving a 2 cm wide border free.

Shape and bake bread

Roll the dough from bottom to top and place in the Omnia mold. Pinch the ends together lightly. Put on the lid and let the dough rest for 1 hour. Then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 30-40 minutes.
