Delicious nougat sheep, perfect for Easter brunch!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 310 g Milk, lukewarm
  • 630 g Wheat flour, Type 700
  • 42 g Yeast, fresh
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 7 g Salt
  • 100 g Butter, room temperature
  • 200 g SPAR Natur pur Organic Hazelnut Nougat Cream
  • 1 piece Beaten egg
  • Pearl sugar
  • 2 piece Sugar eyes

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare yeast dough

Thermomix® Setting

Pour milk into the mixing bowl. Add flour and crumble the yeast directly onto the flour. Then add sugar, salt and butter. Insert the Patix dough knife. Process everything for 2 min./kneading level to a smooth dough. Transfer the dough to a bowl and let it rest covered at room temperature for about 1 hour.

Shape dough

Divide the dough into pieces weighing approx. 40 g, separate a piece weighing approx. 80 g for the head. Shape the dough pieces into balls and then let them rest again for about 10 minutes, covered.

Fill and shape

After the resting time, roll out the balls and place a teaspoon of nougat cream in the middle of each dough piece. Close the dough pieces again to form balls and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper in the shape of a sheep. Shape the head a little longer and put on the sugar eyes.

Shape ears and feet

Shape 4 of the balls to fit for the ears and for the feet. Brush the finished arranged sheep with beaten egg, sprinkle the pearl sugar over it and bake with steam at 170 °C for about 30 minutes until the dough is golden brown.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake at 170°C for about 30 minutes until the dough is golden brown. Place a heat-resistant bowl of water in the oven for steam.
