Description

This turkey-pineapple dish is a real all-rounder! I like to make it when I need something quick and special on the table. The combination of tender turkey, fruity pineapple and a creamy sauce is simply irresistible. The soy sauce gives it a slightly Asian touch. Perfect with rice or simply enjoy it on its own. A great dish for the whole family that is guaranteed to please everyone!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g Turkey cutlet or turkey breast fillet (preferably organic) - cut into strips
  • 250 g Cream
  • 150 ml Poultry broth or vegetable broth - homemade or ready-made
  • 1 piece Onion, small - halved, cut into thin slices
  • 150 g Leek - cut slightly diagonally and finely
  • 140 g (Drained weight) Pineapple pieces from the can - remove 1 tbsp of juice then drain
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil, neutral - e.g. Rapeseed oil or sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp Creme fraiche
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sugar, brown
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste black Pepper from the mill

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare onion and leek

Put 1 halved onion into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 150g leek, cut slightly diagonally and finely.

Sauté vegetables

Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add broth and pineapple juice

Add 150 ml poultry or vegetable broth and 1 tbsp pineapple juice from the can and bring to the boil for 2 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add sliced meat and remaining ingredients

Add 250g cream, 2 tbsp creme fraiche, 140g (drained weight) pineapple pieces from the can and 500g fried turkey strips. Season with 1-2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp brown sugar, salt and pepper and simmer for 5 min./90°C/Reverse Rotation speed 1.

Season and Serve

Season everything again and add more seasoning as needed. If necessary, thicken the sauce with a little cornstarch. Then serve.
