Description

This simple spelt bread from the Thermomix® is made with just a few ingredients: water, honey, yeast, spelt flour, and salt.   • 500 g Spelt flour type 630
  • 10 g Salt

Put 300 g water, 1 tbsp honey and 1/2 cube of yeast into the mixing bowl and heat the mixture.

Prepare dough

Add 500 g spelt flour 630 and 10 g salt and process everything into a dough.

Let the dough rise

Place the dough in a bowl, dust it with flour and let it rise covered in a warm place for 1 hour.

Prepare Ofenmeister

During this time you can flour an Ofenmeister.

Shape and bake the bread

Place the dough on a floured work surface, fold it together several times and form it into a loaf of bread. Place the loaf of bread in the prepared Ofenmeister (Romertopf), dust it with flour and cut it. Put the lid on the Ofenmeister and slide it into the cold oven on the lowest rack. Bake the bread for 50-60 minutes at 240° O/U Hitze.

Brown the bread

Carefully remove the Ofenmeister lid and let the bread brown for 5 minutes without the lid at 240°C.
