Description

This Asian-inspired bok choy is a delicious and quick side dish that I particularly like to prepare when I need to be quick. The bok choy is refined with a simple marinade of sesame oil and soy sauce and then gently cooked in the air fryer. The result is a crunchy vegetable with a wonderfully spicy aroma. Perfect as a side dish to rice dishes or simply as a light snack in between. If you like, you can add a little chili to give the dish a subtle spiciness. An absolute must for all Asia fans!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 300 g Bok choy
  • 4 tsp Sesame oil
  • 4 tsp Soy sauce
  • 0.5 tsp Sea salt
  • Sesame

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare bok choy

Quarter the bok choy, rinse thoroughly and then dry carefully.

Prepare marinade

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add sesame oil, soy sauce and sea salt to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3.

Marinate bok choy

Place the prepared bok choy with the cut surfaces facing upwards on a plate and brush with the prepared marinade.

Cook bok choy

Place the marinated bok choy on the rack in the cooking basket of the air fryer and cook at 180 degrees for 5-7 minutes.

Serve

Sprinkle the cooked bok choy with sesame and serve with additional soy sauce as desired.
