Description

This spelt wholemeal bread is a real highlight for all bread lovers! I bake it regularly because it is so easy to prepare and remains incredibly juicy. The secret lies in the spelt wholemeal flour and the rich kernel mixture, which gives the bread a great texture and a nutty taste. A dash of fruit vinegar provides a pleasant acidity and keeps the bread fresh for an extra long time. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or as a side dish for dinner. Try it, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 500 g Spelt wholemeal flour
  • 150 g Kernel mixture of your choice (e.g. pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.)
  • 0.5 l Water
  • 1 cube Yeast
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Fruit vinegar e.g. apple vinegar

Preparation (3 steps)

Mix ingredients and knead dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add 500 g spelt wholemeal flour, 150 g kernel mixture of your choice (e.g. pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.), 0.5 liters water, 1 cube yeast, 2 tsp salt and 2 tbsp fruit vinegar into the mixing bowl. Process for 2 min./knead stage to form a dough. The dough is relatively liquid.

Pour dough into the tin

Line a loaf tin (30 cm long and 15 cm wide) with baking paper. Pour the dough into the prepared tin. If the paper is crumpled at the edge, it doesn't matter.

Bake bread

Place the tin in the cold (!) oven on the rack in the middle and bake at 200 °C top/bottom heat for one hour.
