Description

These rustic Sunday rolls are perfect for a relaxed weekend breakfast. I often make them when I have little time, but still want to put something homemade on the table. They are more compact than normal rolls, but are wonderfully filling and are prepared in no time at all. The recipe is so simple that even children can help. The rolls taste delicious plain, with butter and jam or with savory toppings. An absolute favorite recipe for Sunday morning!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 350 g Wheat flour
  • 1 Pck. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 250 ml Milk

Preparation (5 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.

Mix dry ingredients

10 sec/Speed 4

Add 350 g wheat flour, 1 pack baking powder, 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp salt to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 4.

Knead dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 250 ml milk and knead for 2 min/kneading speed to a smooth dough.

Portion and shape dough

Let the dough rest briefly in the mixing bowl. Then remove the dough from the mixing bowl and divide into 10 portions. Shape each portion into round or oblong rolls, flatten slightly and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake rolls

Cut the rolls as desired and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
