Description

This gilded French style panettone is a delicious way to use leftover Christmas panettone! The recipe is very simple and quick to prepare with the Thermomix®. The slices of panettone are dipped in a creamy mixture of eggs, milk and cinnamon, then browned in a pan. The result is a soft and fragrant dessert, perfect for breakfast or a festive brunch. Serve with whipped cream, fresh raspberries, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkling of powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness. A delicious idea to indulge in during the holidays!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 slice panettone
  • 1 piece eggs
  • 30 ml milk
  • 1 q.b. fine salt
  • 1 q.b. cinnamon powder
  • 1 q.b. butter
  • 1 q.b. whipped cream
  • 1 q.b. raspberries
  • 1 q.b. honey
  • 1 q.b. powdered sugar

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare panettone

Cut a round slice of panettone and then divide it into 4 quarters. Set aside.

Prepare mixture

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, insert 1 egg, 30 ml of milk, a pinch of fine salt and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 4.

Dip panettone

Dip the quarter slices of panettone on both sides in the prepared mixture to soak them completely.

Melt butter

In a non-stick pan, melt a knob of butter over medium heat.

Fry panettone

Cook the quarter slices of panettone, two at a time, in the pan with the melted butter for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Let drain

Dry the slices of panettone on absorbent paper and proceed in the same way for the remaining two slices.

Serve

Arrange two slices of panettone overlapping on a small plate and decorate as desired with whipped cream, raspberries, honey and powdered sugar.
