Description

These homemade white buns are perfect for breakfast or a snack. The recipe is simple and the result is a soft and delicious bread. Although it requires a little time for rising, the effort is worth it. I usually prepare them on weekends to enjoy a special breakfast. They can be accompanied with butter and jam, or used to prepare sandwiches. Go ahead and try them, you will love them! Flour without raising agents is key to obtaining the right texture. Enjoy this freshly baked bread!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 2 tazas Flour without raising agents
  • 1 tsp Granulated yeast
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 0.75 cup Warm water

Yeast preparation

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/99°F/Speed 2 37

In the Thermomix bowl, add the granulated yeast, sugar and a little of the warm water (approximately 50 ml). Mix 20 sec./37°C/Stufe 2. Let it rest in the bowl for 3 minutes to activate the yeast.

Add remaining ingredients

Add the flour, salt, unsalted butter and the rest of the warm water to the bowl. Knead for 2 Min./Knetstufe.

First rising

Remove the dough from the bowl, form a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with a cloth or transparent film and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.

Form the buns

Flour a flat surface. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is approximately 2 centimeters thick. Cut out medallions with a cookie cutter or a glass. Place the medallions on a previously oiled baking tray.

Second rising

Cover the buns with a cloth and let them rest for 1 hour or until they have increased in size.

Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
