Description

This classic shortcrust pastry made from butter, flour, sugar, egg and salt is easy to make in the Thermomix®. The recipe is ideal for Christmas cookies and other winter baked goods. Preparation takes about 70 minutes, of which 15 minutes are active working time. Yields approx. 12 servings. Perfect for simple desserts, finger food and Christmas baking.

  • 150 g Butter
  • 300 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 1 Stück Egg (Size M)
  • nach Geschmack Salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare butter

Cut 150 g cold butter into cubes and set aside.

Mix ingredients

Put 300 g wheat flour Type 405, 80 g sugar, 1 egg (size M) and a pinch of salt in the mixing bowl. Add the prepared butter cubes.

Knead dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Knead all ingredients for 2 min./kneading stage to form a dough.

Chill dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, form a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Roll out dough

Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured work surface and cut out cookies or use it to line a greased tart pan.

Bake

Preheat the oven to 180 °C and bake the cookies for 10 minutes or the tart for approx. 45 minutes.
