Description

This sheet cake with tangerines and sour cream is a true classic and a hit on every occasion! I've been making it since I was a child and it always tastes delicious. The cake is moist and the cream wonderfully fresh. It tastes especially good when it is well chilled. Ideal for birthdays, coffee parties or just for enjoyment. The preparation is straightforward and is guaranteed to succeed. An absolute favorite recipe that I would like to share with you!

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 300 g Wheat flour - Type 405
  • 200 ml Lemonade with orange flavor
  • 175 g room temperature Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 4 piece Eggs - Size M
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 600 ml Cream
  • 400 g Sour cream
  • 3 packet Cream stiffener
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 3 Dosen Tangerines - drained weight per can 175 g
  • Cinnamon sugar - for sprinkling

Preparation (10 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet

Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Grease a deep baking sheet with butter and sprinkle with flour. Drain the tangerines well in a sieve.

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla sugar

Put 175 g room temperature butter, 150 g sugar and 1 packet of bourbon vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./speed 3.

Stir in eggs individually

Add 4 eggs individually one after the other to the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3 each time.

Mix and stir in flour, baking powder and salt

Mix 300 g flour, 1 packet of baking powder and 1 pinch of salt in a separate bowl. Then add alternately with 200 ml Fanta to the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3. Use a spatula to loosen everything from the edge.

Spread dough on the baking sheet

Spread the dough evenly on the prepared baking sheet with a dough scraper.

Bake cake

Place the baking sheet on the middle rack in the preheated oven and bake for approx. 15 minutes. Do a toothpick test.

Whip cream until stiff

3 min/keine/Speed 3.5

Put 600 ml cream, 3 packets of cream stiffener and 1 packet of bourbon vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl. Insert the butterfly and whip until stiff for 3 min./speed 3.5. Remove butterfly and transfer cream.

Prepare sour cream

20 sec/keine/Speed 3

Put 400 g sour cream and 40 g sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3. Then carefully fold in the whipped cream and the drained tangerines.

Spread sour cream on the cake and chill

Spread the sour cream evenly on the cooled cake base and put the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar

Sprinkle the cake with cinnamon sugar before serving.
