Description

These curd pastries with dried fruits and nuts are an absolute highlight during the Christmas season! I make them every year and they are always gobbled up in no time. The curd makes them particularly juicy and the combination of walnuts, chocolate, candied cherries, candied orange peel and raisins ensures a great taste experience. Preparation with the Thermomix® is super easy and quick. Perfect for Advent coffee or as a small gift from the kitchen. A must for everyone who loves Christmas pastries!

Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 75 g Walnut kernels
  • 100 g Whole milk chocolate
  • 50 g Red candied cherries
  • 6 piece Red candied cherries
  • 6 piece Green candied cherries
  • 50 g Candied orange peel
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 125 g Low-fat curd cheese
  • 2 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 100 g Soft butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 0.25 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 knife tip Cardamom
  • 200 g Flour
  • 0.5 Pck. Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Powdered sugar

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop nuts and chocolate

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Put 75 g walnut kernels and 100 g whole milk chocolate in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Transfer and set aside.

Prepare candied cherries and candied orange peel

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Put 50 g red candied cherries and 50 g candied orange peel in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 4. Transfer and set aside.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Put 125 g low-fat curd cheese, 2 eggs, 100 g soft butter in flakes, 1 pinch of salt, 75 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 pinch of cardamom in the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec./speed 4.

Add flour and baking powder

20 sec/Speed 4

Add 200 g flour and ½ packet of baking powder and stir in for 20 sec./speed 4. Use the spatula to push down from the edge and stir for a further 10 sec./speed 4.

Fold in dried fruits and nuts

15 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Put the chopped walnuts, chocolate, candied cherries, candied orange peel and 50 g raisins in the mixing bowl and fold in for 15 sec./reverse rotation speed 2.

Bake muffins

Fill the dough into the prepared muffin tins and top with the remaining red and green candied cherries. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (top/bottom heat) for 25-30 minutes. After baking, let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
