Description

These meatball-stuffed buns are a delight that will transport you to homemade and comforting flavors. The ground meat, combined with onion and a touch of spices such as garam masala and oregano, creates juicy and flavorful meatballs. The homemade tomato sauce, with a splash of wine, gives it a special touch. Perfect for a quick but tasty meal, or to surprise your guests at an informal gathering. Go ahead and prepare them, you will love them! The preparation is simple and in less than an hour you will have these delicious buns ready. Ideal for a different lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 200 gramos ground meat
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 pinch garam masala
  • 1 pinch rosemary
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch oregano
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 0.5 cup wine
  • 70 gramos flour
  • 2 piece French bread
  • 30 gramos fresh cheese
  • 30 gramos grated cheese

Preparation (8 steps)

Grate the onion

Peel and cut the onion into quarters. Place 1 onion in the bowl and grate for 5 seconds at speed 5.

Mix the meat with the onion and seasonings

Add the ground meat (200 grams), a pinch of garam masala, rosemary, pepper and oregano to the bowl. Mix for 20 seconds at speed 3 in the reverse direction.

Form the meatballs

Remove the mixture from the bowl and, with your hands, form small meatballs. Pass the meatballs through ½ cup of flour (70 grams) to coat them.

Brown the meatballs

Heat a non-stick skillet with cooking spray. Brown the meatballs in the pan, making sure to turn them so they brown on all sides.

Add wine and tomato puree

Once the meatballs are browned, add ½ cup of wine to the pan and wait for the alcohol to evaporate. Lower the heat to low and add 1 cup of tomato puree. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.

Cut the breads

Cut the 2 French breads in half lengthwise. Place them on a baking sheet.

Fill the breads

Spread the tomato sauce on the breads and then add the meatballs.

Add the cheese and bake until golden brown

Cover the buns with 30 grams of fresh cheese and 30 grams of grated cheese. Take to the preheated oven at 200°C for 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown.
