Chicken breast filled with feta and bacon, served with a creamy mushroom and leek sauce.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Chicken breast fillet
  • 150 g Feta
  • 200 g Roasting chicken seasoning
  • Bacon
  • 250 g Champignons
  • 1 piece Leek
  • 5 piece Garlic cloves
  • 100 ml White wine
  • 200 g Cream
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Parsley
  • Lemon juice

Preparation (11 steps)

Prepare chicken breast

Wash the chicken breast fillets, pat them dry and cut them horizontally so that you can open them like a book. Season with roasting chicken seasoning or alternatively with salt and pepper. Cut the feta into strips and place a piece on each slice of meat. Roll up the meat, folding in the sides, and then wrap with bacon.

Prepare mushrooms

Clean the mushrooms and cut them into slices.

Prepare leek

Cut the leek into rings.

Chop garlic

Put the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop it.

Prepare vegetables

Place the mushrooms, leek and chopped garlic in a baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.

Add flour

Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables.

Add liquids

Pour the white wine and cream over the vegetables.

Add chicken and simmer

Place the chicken packets on the vegetables and cover the dish. Simmer in a preheated oven at 200 °C top/bottom heat for about 1 hour. Then brown the meat for a few more minutes without a lid.

Prepare sauce

Remove the chicken breast from the dish. Pour the sauce into the mixing bowl and stir until smooth.

Season sauce

Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper and a dash of lemon juice. If necessary, the sauce can be thickened with a little flour or made even creamier with cream.

Serve

Serve the chicken breast with the sauce and sprinkle with parsley.
