Description

These roast poussins are a delight for any occasion. The key is in the spice marinade, which gives it an intense and aromatic flavour. I have been preparing this recipe for years and it is always a success. The meat is juicy and the skin crispy. It is ideal for a special meal or a dinner with friends. Also, it is very easy to prepare with the Thermomix®, which makes the process much easier. The marinade can be prepared in advance and let the chicken marinate overnight to absorb all the flavours. A recipe you can't miss!

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Poussins (small portion chickens)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • 2 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 tsp Dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Dried chilli
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 piece Lemon juice
  • 0.5 piece Orange juice

Preparation of the marinade

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/keine/Speed 4

In the Thermomix bowl, add 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of ground ginger, 2 tsp of dried oregano, 1 tsp of dried thyme, 1 tsp of dried rosemary, 1 tsp of ground cumin, 1 tsp of dried chilli, 1 tsp of sweet paprika, 2 tsp of salt, 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, 0.5 lemon juice and 0.5 orange juice. Mix for 20 seconds/speed 4.

Marinating the chicken

With the homogeneous paste obtained, massage the poussins well. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the chicken with the marinade. Place the poussins in an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.

Baking the chicken

Preheat the oven to 230°C. Place the poussins on an oven rack and bake for 15-17 minutes, depending on the desired doneness.
