Description

This spring pizza is a real concentrate of freshness and flavors. I love to prepare it as soon as the warm weather arrives, because it highlights seasonal green vegetables. Slightly crunchy broccoli, tender peas and creamy avocado combine perfectly on a base of tomato sauce and pesto. A drizzle of olive oil and a few fresh arugula leaves enhance the whole thing. It is an ideal pizza for a light and gourmet meal, perfect for a sunny lunch or a dinner with friends. It is also very easy to prepare and can be adapted according to your desires and the vegetables available.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 piece pizza dough
  • 200 g tomato sauce
  • 4 c. à s. pesto
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 1 piece broccoli
  • 150 g peas
  • 1 piece red onion
  • 50 g arugula
  • Olive oil
  • Fine salt

Preparation (7 steps)

Broccoli in florets and red onion

Cut the broccoli into florets. Place the broccoli florets in the Varoma. Peel the red onion and cut it in half. Finely slice one half of the red onion. Set aside.

Steaming the broccoli

Thermomix® Setting
12 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Pour 500 ml of water into the Thermomix bowl. Place the Varoma with the broccoli florets on the bowl. Steam for 12 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1. Check the cooking, the broccoli should be tender but still slightly crunchy. Set aside.

Preheating the oven

Preheat your oven to 220°C.

Pizza preparation

Place the pizza dough on a baking sheet. Spread the dough if necessary so that it is thin enough. Cover the dough with the tomato sauce, leaving a free edge. Add the cooked broccoli florets, the pesto in small touches, then the red onions. Salt and add a drizzle of olive oil.

Pizza baking

Bake the pizza for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Preparation of peas and avocado

While the pizza is cooking, pour the peas into a bowl, cover with boiling water and let stand for 1 minute. Drain and set aside. Cut the flesh of the avocado into slices.

Final garnish and service

Once the pizza is cooked, add the avocado slices, peas and arugula. Add a drizzle of olive oil and serve immediately.
