Savory pizza rolls, perfect as a snack or for a party.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 302 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 0.25 piece Fresh yeast
  • 152 g Water
  • 62 g Tomato paste
  • 205 g Cooked ham, diced
  • 1 tbsp Olives without stone
  • 305 g Grated cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar or mixture)
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • Oregano

Preparation (8 steps)

Activate yeast

Add water, salt and fresh yeast to the mixing bowl. Heat the mixture so that the yeast dissolves completely.

Knead dough

Add flour and let the dough knead until it is elastic and smooth.

Let the dough rise

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, form into a ball and place in a bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until the volume has doubled.

Prepare filling

Add tomato paste, olives, salt, oregano and 1 tablespoon of water to the mixing bowl. Mix until an aromatic tomato paste is formed.

Roll out dough

Roll out the risen dough on a lightly floured work surface to a rectangle about 0.5 cm thick.

Cover dough

Spread the tomato filling thinly on the dough. Sprinkle diced ham and grated cheese over it.

Form rolls

Roll up the dough from the long side and then cut into about 10–12 pieces.

Baking

Place the rollitos on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
