Description

American chocolate cookies are quick to prepare with the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are flour, butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate chips. The recipe yields approx. 1 portion and the preparation time is a total of 53 minutes, of which 20 minutes are active working time. Ideal as a dessert, finger food or sweet snack for in between. Perfect for those who love chocolate and enjoy baking.

  • 280 g Flour
  • 1 TL Baking soda
  • 1 TL, gestr. Salt
  • 250 g Butter, soft
  • 260 g Sugar
  • 2 Egg(s)
  • 300 g Chocolate drops (Chocolate chips), bittersweet

Preparation (7 steps)

Mix butter and sugar until fluffy

Add 250 g soft butter and 260 g sugar to the mixing bowl and mix for 3 min./none/speed 4 until fluffy. Use a spatula to push the ingredients down from the edge.

Add eggs and stir until creamy

Add 2 eggs to the butter mixture in the mixing bowl and continue stirring for 3 min./none/speed 4 until the mixture is even creamier. Use a spatula to push the ingredients down from the edge.

Mix dry ingredients and stir in

In a separate bowl, mix 280 g flour, 1 tsp baking soda and 1 level tsp salt. Add the flour mixture to the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec./none/speed 3 until just a dough forms. Use a spatula to push the ingredients down from the edge.

Fold in chocolate drops

Add 300 g chocolate drops (bittersweet) to the mixing bowl and fold in for 10 sec./reverse/speed 2. Use a spatula to push the ingredients down from the edge.

Prepare baking tray and preheat oven

Line a baking tray with two layers of baking paper. Preheat the oven to 190°C convection.

Shape mounds of dough and bake

Place plum-sized mounds of dough onto the baking paper and press down lightly. They should be the same size so that they bake evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-13 minutes.

Let cool

After baking, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 20 minutes.
