Description

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup cooking sherry
  • 0.75 tsp white sugar
  • 0.75 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.75 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 piece large green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 piece large onion, quartered
  • 0.5 cup whole cashews

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare the marinade

In a large glass or ceramic bowl, whisk together ½ cup soy sauce, ½ cup cooking sherry, ¾ teaspoon white sugar, ¾ teaspoon ground ginger, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, ¾ teaspoon crushed red pepper, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder. Add 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces, and toss to evenly coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.

Chop the onion

Sauté the onion

Add 1 large green bell pepper, sliced, to the mixing bowl and cook for 2 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Remove vegetables

Remove the onion and bell pepper from the mixing bowl and set aside.

Cook the chicken

Stir chicken and marinade into the mixing bowl. Cook the chicken breasts until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Stir in ½ cup whole cashews and cook for 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.
