Description

This chicken gratin with mushrooms is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I often prepare it for a family dinner, because it is easy to make and pleases everyone. Tender chicken, fragrant mushrooms and creamy béchamel sauce, all au gratin with cheese, it's a delight! You can use fresh or frozen button mushrooms, depending on what you have on hand. For a lighter version, you can replace the béchamel with a sauce made from Greek yogurt. This gratin is ideal for using leftover roast chicken. A simple dish, but always appreciated!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 500 g Button mushrooms
  • 1 piece Medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 60 cl Béchamel sauce
  • 1 filet Oil
  • to taste Grated gruyere
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Chicken in cubes

Cut the chicken breasts into small cubes. Sauté them in a pan with a drizzle of oil, a little salt and pepper. Set aside.

Thinly sliced onion

Peel the onion and cut it in half. Put the onion in the bowl and chop it for 3 Sec./Stufe 5.

Sautéed mushrooms and onions

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add a drizzle of oil to the bowl with the chopped onion and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1. Wash and cut the mushrooms lengthwise. Add the mushrooms to the bowl and cook for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Mixing and preparing the gratin

Mix the chicken and mushrooms with the béchamel sauce in a bowl. Divide the mixture into individual gratin dishes.

Gratin in the oven

Cover the dishes with grated cheese and bake for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C.
