Description

This chickpea stew with chorizo is a traditional Spanish dish that comforts the soul, especially on cold days. Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 300 gramos chickpeas
  • 2 trozos chorizo
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 piece small green pepper
  • 2 dientes garlic
  • 2 cucharadas crushed tomato
  • 1 cucharada sweet paprika
  • 1 chorro oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 piece potatoes

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the ingredients

Chop the onion, green pepper, and garlic cloves into medium pieces. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes of approximately 2 cm.

Sauté the vegetables

Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic cloves to the Thermomix bowl. Add a dash of olive oil and sauté for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the tomato and paprika

Incorporate the crushed tomato and sweet paprika into the Thermomix bowl. Stir and cook for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Incorporate the chickpeas and chorizo

Add the drained chickpeas and chorizo pieces to the Thermomix bowl. Stir to integrate with the sauté.

Cook the stew

45 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Pour cold water into the Thermomix bowl until the chickpeas are completely covered and exceed them by a couple of fingers. Add salt to taste. Program 45 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the potatoes

20 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Incorporate the chopped potatoes into the Thermomix bowl. Program 20 Min./100°C/Stufe 1 or until the potatoes are soft.

Rectify the salt point and serve

Taste the stew and rectify salt if necessary. If the broth is a little light, you can thicken it by removing some potatoes and chickpeas to crush them and reintroduce them into the bowl. Serve hot.
