Description

This recipe for Chicken with Mexican Peppers is a real blast! I love how quick and easy it is to prepare in the Thermomix®. The combination of tender chicken, crunchy peppers and spicy flavors is simply irresistible. Perfect for a cozy evening with friends or as a quick lunch. Preparation is child's play and the result tastes like it comes from the best Mexican restaurant. An absolute must for anyone who likes it spicy! Vary the spiciness as you like and serve with warm tortillas and guacamole.

Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 250 g 00 flour
  • 120 ml water
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 400 g chicken breast
  • 500 g peppers
  • 1 piece onions
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 30 g sour cream
  • olive oil
  • fine salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • pepper
  • fine salt

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Funzione Spiga

Flour, water, olive oil and fine salt in the mixing bowl. Knead for 2 Min./Dough function.

Let dough rest

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, form a ball, wrap it in cling film and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare chicken

Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and set aside.

Prepare vegetables

Cut the peppers into strips and the onion into thin slices. Set aside.

Prepare spice mixture

In a bowl, mix paprika, nutmeg, cumin, dried oregano, fine salt and pepper.

Season chicken

Season the chicken breast with the prepared spice mixture.

Fry chicken

In a pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and cook the chicken breast until golden brown. Set aside.

Sauté vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

In the mixing bowl, put 20 ml of olive oil, the peppers and the onion. Cook for 10 Min./120°C/Speed 1.

Mix chicken and vegetables

Add the cooked chicken breast to the mixing bowl with the peppers and onion. Mix gently with the spatula.

Serve fajitas

Serve the chicken with peppers and onion with tortillas, sliced avocado and sour cream.
