Description

This Louisiane creole chicken is a flavorful and comforting dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I love preparing this recipe because it is simple and quick to make with the Thermomix®. The mixture of cajun spices brings a warm and slightly spicy touch that blends wonderfully with the sweetness of the bell peppers and celery. Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 25 cl water
  • 2 c à s flour
  • 1 c à c sugar
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 c à s olive oil
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 0.5 c à c Tabasco
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 oignon onion
  • 1 poivron red bell pepper
  • 2 branches celery
  • 3 c à c cajun mix
  • 1 c à s dried onions
  • 4 filets chicken

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop the onion and the garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Put the onion and the garlic clove in the Thermomix bowl and finely chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

Chop the pepper and the celery

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 4

Add the red bell pepper and the celery sticks cleaned and cut into pieces in the Thermomix bowl and chop finely for 5 Sek./Stufe 4.

Cook the chicken in the pan

Heat 10 g of butter in a pan and cook the chicken fillets cut into pieces for 15 min. When they are cooked, set them aside.

Sauté the vegetables

Put 10 g of butter and the olive oil in the Thermomix bowl. Add the onion, garlic, pepper and chopped celery and cook over high heat for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1, stirring regularly.

Add the spices and the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the cajun spice mix, dried onion, tomato paste, Tabasco, sugar and cooked chicken pieces to the Thermomix bowl. Simmer for a few moments for 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Thicken the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Mix the flour in the water and add the mixture to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 2 to thicken the sauce.
