Description

This creamy Hungarian chicken with mushrooms is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for autumn evenings. I often prepare it for a convivial dinner with friends or family. The smooth sauce made with sour cream and tomato paste delicately coats the chicken pieces and mushrooms, creating an irresistible marriage of flavors. The paprika adds a spicy touch that warms the taste buds. This dish is quick to prepare with the Thermomix® and can be served with rice, pasta or potatoes. A real delight!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 600 g Chicken fillet
  • 250 g Mushrooms
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 c. à soupe Paprika
  • 3 dl Sour cream
  • 1 can Tomato paste
  • 1 noix Butter
  • 2 c. à soupe Olive oil
  • Chopped parsley
  • 0.5 piece Lemon(s)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (9 steps)

Preparation of ingredients

Cut the chicken fillets into strips. Clean and finely slice the onion and mushrooms. Chop the parsley.

Chop the onion

Put the onion in the bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Scrape the sides of the bowl with the spatula.

Sauté the onion

Add the olive oil and sauté 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the paprika and water

Sprinkle with paprika, mix and add 250 ml of water. Add salt and pepper.

Cooking the sauce

Scrape the juices well and add the sour cream and tomato paste. Mix 5 Sek./Stufe 3.

Add the chicken and simmer

Add the chicken and cook 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Cooking the mushrooms

In a frying pan, sauté the sliced mushrooms with the olive oil and lemon juice, until they have released their water and are cooked.

Add the mushrooms and finish cooking

Add the cooked mushrooms to the bowl and continue cooking 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Season and serve

Adjust the seasoning and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve hot with rice or pasta.
