Description
A delicious apple cake with nuts and a hint of rum.
Ingredients (13 ingredients)

45 ml Rum
-
200 g Margarine
-
250 g Sugar
-
250 g Flour

1 Päckchen Baking powder

4 Stück Egg

7.5 ml Cinnamon

15 ml Cocoa

1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar

150 g Hazelnuts, ground

1 Stück Lemon (Juice and grated peel)

1 Prise Powdered sugar
Preparation (6 steps)
Prepare apples
Peel, quarter, core and cut 1 apple into small pieces. Drizzle the apple pieces with 45 ml rum and let them soak.
Prepare dough
Put 200 g margarine, 250 g sugar, 250 g flour, 1 packet of baking powder, 4 eggs, 7.5 ml cinnamon, 15 ml cocoa, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, 150 g of ground hazelnuts, juice and grated peel of 1 lemon into the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./level 4.
Fill dough into mold
Grease a springform pan (26 cm diameter) and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour 2/3 of the dough into the pan.
Spread apples on the dough
Spread the marinated apple pieces on the dough and pour the remaining dough over it.
Bake
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 75 minutes.
Glaze
Mix powdered sugar with some rum and spread it on the cooled cake.
