Description

This savory cheese-ham-bread from the baking sheet is an absolute hit at any party or cozy barbecue! I have been making it for years and it is always a hit. The dough is quick to prepare and refined with spicy cheese and hearty ham. The different baking temperatures make the bread nice and crispy and the cheese melts wonderfully. It tastes good both warm and cold and can be prepared very well. A real all-rounder that everyone simply likes!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Flour Wheat flour 550
  • 1 cube Yeast
  • 0.75 Liter Water lukewarm
  • 500 g Cheese (Gouda), from the piece
  • Ham raw, to taste
  • 1.5 Prisen Salt
  • 1 Prise(n) Sugar

Preparation (9 steps)

Mix flour and salt

Add 1 kg flour and 1.5 pinches salt to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3.

Dissolve yeast

Add 0.75 liters of lukewarm water and 1 cube of yeast to the mixing bowl and dissolve for 2 min./37°C/speed 2. Add 1 pinch of sugar.

Prepare dough

Add the flour-salt mixture to the yeast water in the mixing bowl and knead for 3 min./kneading level to a dough.

Prepare cheese and ham

Cut 500 g of cheese and ham to taste into cubes.

Knead in cheese and ham

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Kneading speed

Add cheese and ham cubes to the mixing bowl and knead under the dough for 1 min./kneading level.

Shape and top the dough

Place the dough on a baking sheet and top with cheese slices.

Bake bread (Phase 1)

Place the baking sheet in the cold oven and bake for 15 minutes at 50°C.

Bake bread (Phase 2)

Increase the temperature to 100°C and bake for another 20 minutes.

Bake bread (Phase 3)

Increase the temperature to 170°C and bake for about 45 minutes. Important: Do not open the oven door during baking!
