Description

This country stew is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for cold days. The pork, tender and juicy, combines perfectly with seasonal vegetables, creating a symphony of textures and aromas. I have been preparing it for years and it is always a success at home. The key is to brown the meat well before adding the vegetables, so that the stew has a more intense flavor. Also, it is a very economical and easy dish to prepare, ideal for a family meal. You can add other vegetables that you have on hand, such as peas or green beans. Dare to try it!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 500 gramos shoulder
  • 2 piece carrots
  • 1 piece corn
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 rama leek
  • 0.5 cup tomato purée
  • 1 hoja bay leaf
  • 1 cucharada postre thyme
  • 2 piece small potatoes
  • 1 cucharada sopera sweet paprika
  • 1 cucharada postre ground chili

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare the meat

Cut the shoulder into approximately 2 cm cubes. Lightly flour the meat cubes. Set aside.

Brown the meat

Heat a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown the meat cubes on all sides until they are well sealed. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside.

Chop the onion and leek

Cut the onion into quarters and the leek into pieces. Place in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 sec./Stufe 5. With the spatula, lower the remains from the walls of the bowl.

Sauté the vegetables

Add the browned meat, chopped onion and leek to the Thermomix bowl. Sauté for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the rest of the ingredients

Add the green part of the leek, the peeled and cubed potatoes, the peeled and sliced carrots, the sliced corn, the tomato purée, the bay leaf, the thyme, the sweet paprika, the ground chili and enough water to cover the stew to the Thermomix bowl. Stir well with the spatula.

Cook the stew

Thermomix® Setting
45 min/212°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad cuchara 100 Reverse

Program 45 Min./100°C/Left turn/Spoon speed. Check that the meat and vegetables are tender. If necessary, cook a few more minutes.
