Description

This hearty vegetable stew with potatoes and sausages is a substantial main course that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. With a preparation time of only 40 minutes and a portion size of 4, it is ideal for a quick lunch or dinner. The stew is rich in vegetables and filling potatoes and is particularly suitable for the cold season. It is a good way to use seasonal vegetables and enjoy a warming meal.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 80 g Diced bacon
  • 30 g Oil
  • 400 g Potatoes in bite-sized pieces
  • 600 g Water
  • 2 TL Vegetable broth powder
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 TL Dried oregano
  • 400 g Kaiser vegetables frozen
  • 1 Stück Red bell pepper in strips
  • 1 Stück Green bell pepper in strips
  • 120 g Pepper bite in slices
  • 2 TL Mixed herbs (frozen)

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onion

Put 1 onion into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5.

Sauté bacon and onion

Thermomix® Setting
4 min/Varoma/Linkslauf/Speed 1 Varoma Reverse

Add 80 g diced bacon and 30 g oil and sauté for 4 minutes/Varoma/reverse/speed 1 without the measuring cup inserted.

Prepare potatoes

In the meantime, cut 400 g potatoes into bite-sized pieces and place in the simmering basket.

Prepare stew base

Add 600 g water, 2 tsp vegetable broth powder, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp dried oregano to the mixing bowl. Insert simmering basket with the potatoes.

Prepare vegetables and sausages

Spread 400 g Kaiser vegetables frozen in the Varoma. Cut 1 red bell pepper and 1 green bell pepper into strips and spread on the vegetables. Cut 2 pepper bites (a 60 g) into slices and distribute over the vegetables.

Cook stew

Thermomix® Setting
25 min/Varoma/Linkslauf/Speed 1 Varoma Reverse

Place Varoma on top and cook for 25 minutes/Varoma/reverse/speed 1. After the time has elapsed, do a cooking test.

Finalize stew

Put vegetables, potatoes and sauce in a serving bowl. Sprinkle 2 tsp mixed herbs (frozen) over it and mix. Season the stew and add more seasoning if necessary.
