Sausages Preparation

Heat half of the oil in a large pan and cook the sausages for 12-15 mins over a medium heat until brown all over and cooked through. Remove to a plate and slice into thick coins.

Onion and Peppers Sauté

Drizzle the rest of the oil into the mixing bowl, add the onion and peppers and cook for 10 mins/120°C/Stufe 1, stirring often until all the veg has softened.

Add the garlic, all the spices and the chipotle paste, if using, and cook for another 1 minute/120°C/Stufe 1.

Simmering the Chilli

20 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the tomatoes, a canful of water, the ketchup and some seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 mins/100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf half-covered with a lid or loosely covered with foil. Stir occasionally, topping up with water if the mixture starts to look too thick.

Add the sliced cooked sausages and the beans to the mixing bowl. Cook for another few minutes 5 mins/100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf until heated through.
