Description

These grilled razor clams are an exquisite and very easy to prepare treat. The key is to clean the razor clams well to remove the sand, a crucial step to enjoy all their flavor. I leave them in salt water for at least two hours, and they are perfect! The touch of garlic and fresh parsley enhances the flavor of the seafood in an incredible way. They are ideal as an appetizer in a special meal or dinner, or simply to treat yourself. At home they always triumph! In addition, they are prepared in the blink of an eye, perfect for when you have little time but want something delicious.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 12 piece Razor clams
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 bunch Fresh parsley
  • 1 chorrito Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch Salt

Cleaning the razor clams

Place the razor clams in a container with water and salt. Let stand for at least 2 hours to expel the sand. Then, drain and wash with fresh water. This step is crucial to enjoy the razor clams without sand.

Preparation of garlic and parsley

Introduce 2 peeled garlic cloves into the Thermomix glass. Program 3 seconds at speed 7 to chop them finely. Add a bunch of fresh parsley and chop for 3 seconds at speed 6. Remove the mixture from the glass and set aside.

Add the parsley to the glass and program 3 seconds at speed 6. Remove and mix with the chopped garlic. Set aside.

Cooking the razor clams

Heat a griddle or large frying pan over high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil and remove with kitchen paper. Place the razor clams on the hot griddle and season with a pinch of salt. Cook for 2 minutes, until they open.

Serve

Remove the razor clams from the griddle and place a teaspoon of the garlic and parsley mixture on each one. Serve immediately, drizzling with the oil and water that the razor clams have released on the griddle.
