Description

These cinnamon snails from curd dough, prepared in the Thermomix®, are a delicious breakfast or dessert. The main ingredients are curd, flour, sugar, cinnamon and margarine. Preparation takes about 50 minutes and yields 12 servings. Ideal for the festive season or as a warm pastry with coffee. Suitable for anyone looking for a quick and easy cake recipe.

  • 125 g Margarine
  • 200 g Margarine
  • 50 g Margarine
  • 200 g Brown Sugar
  • 2.5 TL Cinnamon
  • 500 g Flour
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 1 TL Iodized salt
  • 250 g Low-fat curd
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 125 g Cream cheese
  • 1 Baking paper

Preparation (9 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare springform pan

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection: 180 °C). Line a springform pan with baking paper and grease the edge.

Prepare cinnamon filling

3 min/122°F/Speed 1 50

Put 125 g margarine into the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min./50°C/speed 1.

Mix cinnamon filling

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 200 g brown sugar and 2 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3. Add the melted margarine and stir for 10 sec./speed 2. Transfer the cinnamon filling and set aside.

Mix dry ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 4

Add 500 g flour, 50 g sugar, 1 packet vanilla sugar, 1 packet baking powder and 1 tsp iodized salt to the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec./speed 4.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 200 g margarine in flakes, 250 g low-fat curd and 150 ml milk and process for 2 min./kneading stage to a smooth dough.

Shape and fill dough

Shape the dough into a ball with floured hands. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to form a rectangle (approx. 30 x 40 cm). Spread the prepared cinnamon filling on top with the back of a spoon, leaving a border of approx. 2 cm all around. Roll up the dough tightly from the long side. Cut into 12 equal rolls with a sharp knife.

Place cinnamon snails in shape and bake

Place the rolls with the visible cinnamon filling facing up into the springform pan, leaving enough space between them (9 rolls outwards and 3 inwards). Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes.

Prepare cream cheese frosting

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Put 50 g margarine and 50 g powdered sugar into the mixing bowl and beat with the butterfly for 30 sec./speed 3 until creamy. Remove butterfly. Add 125 g cream cheese and stir in for 10 sec./speed 3.

Spread cinnamon snails and serve

Let the cinnamon rolls cool for 15 minutes after baking and then spread the cream cheese frosting on top while still warm. The cinnamon rolls are best enjoyed lukewarm.
