Description

This salt crust roast from the Thermomix® is a hearty main course with pork collar and a simple salt crust. Ideal for festive occasions or a hearty winter meal. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 145 minutes, of which 15 minutes are active working time. The recipe is designed for 8 servings and is perfect as a family meal.

Ingredients (2 ingredients)

1000 g Salt
2000 g Pork collar (pork neck) without bone

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare salt bed

Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Spread 1 kg of salt evenly on the baking paper and pile up a bed in the length of the 2 kg pork collar (pork neck) without bone. No Thermomix setting required.

Place meat on top

Place 2 kg of pork collar (pork neck) without bone on the prepared salt bed. No Thermomix setting required.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. No Thermomix setting required.

Bake salt roast

Place the baking sheet with the salt roast on the middle rack in the preheated oven and bake for approx. 2 hours. Do not open the oven door during baking to prevent the meat from drying out. No Thermomix setting required.
