Description

This rustic apple tart is a comforting and delicious dessert, perfect to enjoy at any time of the year, but especially in autumn. The recipe is very simple and does not require puff pastry, which makes it even easier to prepare. The combination of russet apples, milk, eggs and a touch of cinnamon creates an irresistible flavour. I often prepare it for afternoon coffee or to celebrate a family birthday. If you like, you can add a little peach or apricot jam to give it an extra touch of sweetness. It is a recipe that always triumphs!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 kilogramo russet type apples
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 200 mililitros milk
  • 100 gramos sugar
  • 100 gramos flour
  • butter for the mould
  • peach or apricot jam (optional)
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the apples

Peel and cut 1 kilogram of russet type apples into cubes. Reserve some cubes for the final decoration.

Mix the ingredients

In the Thermomix bowl, add 2 eggs, 200 milliliters of milk, 100 grams of sugar, 100 grams of flour and 1 pinch of ground cinnamon. Mix for 20 seconds at speed 4.

Incorporate the apples (optional)

Optionally, add the apple cubes to the mixture and mix for 5 seconds at speed 3 in the Thermomix. If you prefer to find pieces of apple in the tart, omit this step and mix by hand.

Pour the batter into the mould

Grease a round mould of about 24-26 cm in diameter with butter. Pour the batter into the mould and place the reserved apple cubes on top for decoration.

Preheat the oven and brush the tart

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. Dilute a little peach or apricot jam with a little water (optional). Brush the top of the tart with the diluted jam and sprinkle with ground cinnamon to taste.

Bake the tart

Bake the tart for 60 minutes at 180 ºC or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and serve

Let the tart cool to room temperature and then put it in the fridge to take on a little more consistency. Unmould and serve.
