Description

This creamy basic sauce is a real all-rounder and is very easy to prepare in the Thermomix®. I often use it as a base for vegetable dishes or as a sauce for meat. The preparation only takes a few minutes and the result is a velvety, aromatic sauce that simply adds that certain something to every dish. Refined with a little nutmeg, it tastes particularly good. It is perfect for anyone looking for a quick and uncomplicated sauce that still tastes sophisticated. Try it out, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Wheat flour Type 405
  • 200 ml Broth
  • 100 ml Cream
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Melt butter

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/122°F/Speed 1 50

Put 2 tbsp butter into the mixing bowl and melt for 2 min./50°C/speed 1.

Sauté flour

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add 1 tbsp wheat flour Type 405 to the melted butter and sauté for 3 min./100°C/speed 2. Use the spatula to push the flour away from the edge.

Add broth and cream

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 3 90

Add 200 ml broth and 100 ml cream to the mixing bowl and stir in for 5 min./90°C/speed 3. Make sure that no lumps form.

Season

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Season the sauce with salt and pepper and simmer for a further 2 min./90°C/speed 2.
