Description

Delicious Mediterranean sheep cheese dip, perfect as an appetizer or for a party.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 200 g Sheep cheese
  • 5 piece Tomatoes, dried
  • 5 piece Olives, black, pitted
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Basil, rubbed or fresh
  • Olive oil, good quality
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 piece Chili pepper, dried, optional

Preparation (5 steps)

Soak tomatoes

Soak the dried tomatoes in hot water until they are soft. This takes about 5-10 minutes.

Chop garlic

Put a clove of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Mix ingredients

Add the soaked tomatoes (5 pieces), 200g sheep cheese, 5 pitted black olives, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tsp basil, optionally 1 dried chili pepper, salt and pepper as needed to the mixing bowl. Add olive oil as needed and puree for 20 sec./speed 8 until a smooth mass is formed. If necessary, scrape down the side with the spatula and puree again.

Season and refine

Season the dip with salt and pepper and add a little more olive oil if necessary to achieve the desired consistency. Stir for 5 sec./speed 3.

Fill and store

Fill the finished mixture into a screw-top jar and store in the refrigerator when closed. The dip will keep for at least 14 days.
