Description

This hearty layered salad with tortilla chips is an absolute eye-catcher at any party! I've been making it for years and it's always a hit. The ground meat is fried nicely spicy and layered together with corn, kidney beans and salsa to form a delicious base. The fresh iceberg lettuce, crème fraîche and grated cheese provide a great consistency and a fresh taste. Finally, the crumbled tortilla chips are sprinkled on top - simply delicious! Ideal for a relaxed evening with friends or as a gift for barbecuing.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 500 g Ground meat, mixed
  • 2 piece Onions
  • 2 can Corn, drained
  • 2 can Kidney beans, drained
  • 1 Flasche Salsa
  • 1 piece Iceberg lettuce
  • 1 container Crème fraîche
  • 250 g Gouda, grated
  • 1 Tüte Nachos

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions

Thermomix® Setting

Peel 2 onions, halve and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 seconds/speed 5. Push down with the spatula.

Fry ground meat

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Add 500 g of mixed ground meat to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 5 minutes/Varoma/speed 1 without the measuring cup. Then transfer to a large bowl and let cool.

Layer salad

Add 1 can of drained corn and 1 can of drained kidney beans to the bowl with the ground meat. Add half of the salsa on top. Then layer another 1 can of corn, 1 can of kidney beans and the rest of the salsa into the bowl.

Prepare iceberg lettuce

Clean 1 iceberg lettuce, cut into bite-sized pieces and add to the salad in the bowl.

Finish salad

Spread 1 container of crème fraîche on the iceberg lettuce. Sprinkle 250 g of grated Gouda over it. Crumble 3/4 of a bag of tortilla chips and spread on the cheese.

Decorate and serve

Decorate the salad with the remaining tortilla chips before serving.
