Description

This pasta salad with chicken is a real classic and super quick to prepare! I especially like to make it for parties or barbecues because it can be prepared well in advance and is always well received. The chicken makes the salad nice and filling, the pickles provide a pleasant acidity and the dill and parsley give it a fresh note. With mayonnaise and a dash of pickle juice, it becomes nice and creamy. An absolute favorite recipe that simply tastes delicious and is perfect for warm days!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g Pasta Spirals
  • 2 Gläser Chicken Meat with Broth (small glasses)
  • 5 piece Egg(s)
  • 3 piece thick Pickle(s)
  • 4 tbsp Pickle Juice
  • 50 ml Vinegar
  • 500 ml Mayonnaise
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dill Dried
  • 1 tbsp Parsley Dried

Preparation (7 steps)

Cook pasta

Thermomix® Setting
12 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 500 g pasta spirals to the mixing bowl, cover with water and cook for 12 min./100°C/speed 1 without the measuring cup until al dente. Then pour into a sieve and rinse with cold water.

Cook eggs

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Put 5 eggs into the simmering basket, fill 500 ml of water into the mixing bowl, insert the simmering basket and cook for 15 min./Varoma/speed 1 without the measuring cup until hard-boiled. Then quench the eggs, peel and set aside.

Prepare salad dressing

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 500 ml mayonnaise, 1 tbsp dill dried, 1 tbsp parsley dried, 50 ml vinegar, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper to taste to the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3.

Prepare chicken

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 4

Put 2 glasses of chicken meat with broth (small glasses) into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 4. Pour off the broth from the chicken meat and add 50-100 ml of it to the salad dressing in the mixing bowl. Put the chopped chicken meat into a large bowl.

Chop eggs

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Put the hard-boiled eggs into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 4. Add the chopped eggs to the bowl with the chicken.

Chop pickles

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Put 3 thick pickles and approx. 4 tbsp pickle juice into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 4. Add the chopped pickles to the bowl.

Mix salad

Add the salad dressing from the mixing bowl to the bowl with the remaining ingredients. Add the cooked pasta to the bowl as well. Mix everything well and season again with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
