Description
This classic tomato sauce is a real soul food recipe! I always make it when I'm craving something simple but incredibly delicious. Preparation in the Thermomix® is super easy and quick. The sauce is perfect with pasta, rice or as a base for pizza. With its slightly sweet note, the whole family will love it. If you like it a little more refined, you can add fresh herbs such as basil or oregano. A dash of cream makes it particularly creamy. Try it out, you will be thrilled!
Ingredients (8 ingredients)

1 piece Onion

125 g Butter
-
2 tbsp Tomato paste

2 tbsp Flour
-
250 ml Tomato ketchup
-
to taste Salt
-
to taste Pepper
-
to taste Sugar
Preparation (4 steps)
Chop onion
Peel, quarter an onion and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./level 5.
Sauté onion
Add 125 g butter and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.
Sauté tomato paste and flour
Add 2 tbsp tomato paste and 2 tbsp flour and sauté for 2 min./100°C/level 2.
Finish sauce
Add 250 ml tomato ketchup, salt, pepper and sugar to taste. Cook for 5 min./100°C/level 2.
