Description

This savory baked potato with tender steak strips and a refreshing yogurt dip is a real highlight! I like to make it when I want to bring something hearty and fresh to the table at the same time. The preparation takes a little time, but the result is worth it. The potatoes are baked until soft in the oven and then refined with a creamy mixture of butter and cheese. It comes with crisp lamb's lettuce, grated carrots and juicy steak strips. The yogurt dip provides the perfect balance. A great dish for a cozy dinner!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 4 piece large floury potatoes
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 piece Carrots
  • 75 g Lamb's lettuce
  • 0.25 bunch Chives
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 300 g Whole milk yogurt
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 piece Rump steaks
  • 4 tsp Butter
  • 4 tsp Cheese
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare potatoes

Wash potatoes, rub dry and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread 1 teaspoon of oil on the potatoes with a brush.

Bake potatoes

Bake the prepared potatoes in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 175°C (convection) for approx. 75 minutes.

Grate carrots

Wash, peel and cut the carrots into pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 seconds/speed 5. Transfer and set aside.

Chop chives

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 7

Wash the chives, shake dry and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 seconds/speed 7. Transfer and set aside.

Chop garlic

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 7

Peel the garlic and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 seconds/speed 7.

Prepare yogurt dip

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add yogurt, chopped chives and garlic to the mixing bowl. Add lemon juice and salt and stir for 10 seconds/speed 3.

Prepare steak

Wash the steaks, pat dry, cut into strips and season with salt.

Fry steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a coated pan. Fry the meat in it for 4–6 minutes, turning until brown.

Fill potatoes

Remove the potatoes from the oven and cut them lengthwise to the middle. Add 1 teaspoon of butter, 1 pinch of salt and approx. 1 teaspoon of cheese to the cut and mash everything with the inside of the potato. Press potato mixture back into the shell halves.
