Description

These small soft cocoa cakes are perfect for a delicious snack or an easy-to-prepare dessert. I love this recipe because it is simple and quick, ideal when you want a little treat without spending hours in the kitchen. The combination of cornstarch and flour gives an incredibly melting texture. The cocoa brings a comforting chocolatey touch. These cakes are delicious as is, but you can also accompany them with a custard or a scoop of ice cream for even more pleasure. A real treat for young and old!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 500 g Cornstarch
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 verre à eau flour
  • 3 piece eggs
  • 1 verre à eau powdered sugar
  • 250 g margarine
  • cocoa

Preparation of dry ingredients

In the Thermomix bowl, pour 500g of cornstarch, 1 sachet of baking powder and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 4.

Addition of wet ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 5

Add 1 water glass of flour, 3 eggs, 1 water glass of powdered sugar and 250g of softened margarine in the Thermomix bowl. Mix 30 Sek./Stufe 5.

Division of the dough and addition of cocoa

Divide the dough into two equal portions. In one of the portions, add cocoa powder (quantity according to your taste). Mix by hand until a homogeneous color is obtained.

Shaping the cakes

Form small balls with the two doughs (plain and cocoa). Use a plastic bottle cap to create a mushroom shape by pressing lightly on each ball.

Baking the cakes

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Arrange the cakes on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are lightly golden.
