Description

These Spanish-style lentils with chorizo are a comforting and flavorful stew, perfect for cold days. The combination of lentils with fresh vegetables and chorizo creates an explosion of flavors that will transport you to grandma's kitchen. I always prepare them in the Thermomix®, it's so easy and fast! The Thermomix® takes care of chopping the vegetables and cooking everything to perfection. Also, you can adjust the amount of sweet paprika to your liking to give it a more or less smoky touch. A nutritious and delicious dish that the whole family is sure to love. Give it a try!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 piece pepper
  • 0.5 piece onion
  • 1 piece tomato
  • 1 hoja bay leaf
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 piece chorizo
  • 1 container lentils in water from the previous day
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Initial cooking of the chorizo

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Velocidad 1 100

Place the chorizo in the Thermomix bowl and cover with water. Program 5 Min./100°C/Speed 1 to release the fat.

Preparation of the vegetables

4 Seg./Velocidad 5

Cut the pepper, onion and tomato into medium pieces. Introduce into the Thermomix bowl and program 4 Sec./Speed 5 to chop the vegetables.

Sautéing the vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/248°F/Velocidad 1 120

Add a little olive oil to the bowl. Incorporate the bay leaf and garlic clove. Program 5 Min./120°C/Speed 1 to sauté the vegetables.

Cooking the lentils

20 min/212°F/Velocidad 1 100

Add the soaked lentils, cooked chorizo and water to cover all the ingredients. Program 20 Min./100°C/Speed 1.

Add paprika and salt

Thermomix® Setting
10 Seg./Velocidad 3

Add a tablespoon of sweet paprika (optional) and salt to taste. Mix 10 Sec./Speed 3.

Crush the vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
30 Seg./Velocidad 8

Remove the bay leaf and garlic clove. Crush the remaining vegetables by programming 30 Sec./Speed 8.
