Description

This sliced pork in spicy tomato sauce is an absolute highlight! I like to make it when I need something quick, but still want something special on the table. The fiery sauce with chili and garlic gives the dish a pleasant spiciness that harmonizes perfectly with the tender pork. It goes well with all kinds of pasta, but I especially like it with wide ribbon noodles. A dash of balsamic vinegar rounds off the taste. If you don't like it so spicy, you can of course reduce or omit the chili pepper altogether. Ideal for a quick lunch or an uncomplicated dinner!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 2 piece red Onions
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 piece red Chili pepper
  • 600 g Pork fillet
  • 400 g Pasta (e.g. parpadelle)
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 425 ml chopped Tomatoes
  • 300 ml Vegetable broth
  • 6 Stiele Basil
  • 1 tsp Balsamic vinegar
  • Sugar

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare onions, garlic and chili

Peel 2 red onions, halve and place in the mixing bowl. Chop 3 sec./level 5. Add 1 clove of garlic and 1 deseeded red chili pepper and chop for a further 3 sec./level 7. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté onions, garlic and chili

Add 2 tbsp olive oil and sauté 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Prepare meat

Wash 600 g pork fillet, pat dry, halve lengthwise and cut into slices. The meat is NOT prepared in the Thermomix.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 1 tbsp flour, 1 can (425 ml) chopped tomatoes and 300 ml vegetable broth. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 5 min./100°C/level 1.

Season and refine sauce

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 4 Linkslauf Reverse

Wash 6-7 sprigs of basil, pat dry, pluck off the leaves and place in the mixing bowl. Add 1–2 tsp balsamic vinegar and some sugar. Stir in 5 sec./level 4 reverse.

Cook pasta

Prepare 400 g pasta (e.g. parpadelle) in boiling salted water according to the instructions on the packet. In the meantime, fry the meat in the pan.
