Description

This hearty savoy cabbage and potato stew with Mettenden sausage, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a comforting main course for the cold season. The main ingredients are savoy cabbage, potatoes, and Mettenden sausage, refined with onions and meat broth. In just 35 minutes, a gluten-free one-pot stew for 4 servings is created. Ideal as a warming family meal or for lovers of hearty cuisine.

  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 600 g Savoy cabbage
  • 1000 g Potatoes
  • 1 EL Clarified butter
  • 1 l Meat broth
  • 4 Stück Mettenden sausage
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • nach Geschmack Cumin

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions

Peel and quarter 2 onions and place them in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec/speed 5. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Sauté onions

Add 1 tbsp of clarified butter to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 1.

Prepare cabbage and potatoes

Halve 1 savoy cabbage (approx. 600 g), remove the stalk and cut into strips. Peel and dice 1 kg of potatoes. Have both ready.

Cook stew

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the savoy cabbage, potatoes and 1 l of meat broth to the onions in the mixing bowl. Simmer for 20 min/100°C/speed 1/Reverse.

Add Mettenden sausage

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Cut 4 Mettenden sausages into slices and add to the mixing bowl. Simmer for another 10 min/100°C/speed 1/Reverse.

Season the savoy cabbage and potato stew with salt, pepper and cumin to taste and serve.
