Description

This sugar-free orange-mango syrup is a fruity and vegan drink, ideal for the summer. Sweetened with Xylitol, it is a healthy alternative to traditional syrups. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 45 minutes and yields a delicious base for refreshing drinks.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 5 g Citric acid
  • 150 g Xylitol
  • 500 g Mango, fresh
  • 500 g Oranges, fresh

Preparation (8 steps)

Peel and fillet oranges

Peel the oranges so that there is no more white skin. Then cut out the orange fillets, collecting the juice. Set aside the orange fillets and the collected juice.

Peel and dice mango

Peel the mango, cut the flesh from the core and cut into coarse cubes. Set aside the mango cubes.

Add citric acid and Xylitol to the mixing bowl

Add 5 g citric acid and 150 g Xylitol to the mixing bowl.

Pulverize citric acid and Xylitol

Pulverize the citric acid and Xylitol for 20 sec./level 10.

Add mango and oranges

Add the prepared mango cubes and orange fillets, including the collected orange juice, to the mixing bowl.

Cook syrup

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/212°F/Speed 2 212°F

Cook the ingredients in the mixing bowl for 20 min./100°C/level 2. Leave the measuring cup on.

Puree syrup

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 8-10

After cooking, puree the syrup for 30 sec./level 8-10, slowly increasing the speed. Hold the lid firmly.

Fill syrup

Pour the finished syrup hot into sterilized bottles and close immediately. Turn the bottles upside down and let them cool.
