Description

This coffee and chocolate cake is a real treat for mocha flavor lovers. The combination of the fluffy sponge cake with the creamy frosting is simply irresistible.   • 350 gramos sugar
  • 330 gramos flour
  • 170 gramos oil
  • 300 gramos warm water
  • 3 piece eggs
  • 12 gramos sodium bicarbonate
  • 65 gramos cocoa powder
  • 300 gramos coffee
  • 100 gramos cream cheese
  • 150 gramos butter
  • 2 cucharaditas coffee essence
  • 1 cucharadita cocoa powder
  • 140 gramos icing sugar

Prepare the liquid ingredients of the cake

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 4

Pour 300 grams of warm water, 170 grams of oil and 3 eggs into the Thermomix glass. Mix for 10 seconds at speed 4.

Mix the dry ingredients of the cake

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 4

Add 350 grams of sugar, 330 grams of flour, 12 grams of sodium bicarbonate and 65 grams of cocoa powder to the Thermomix glass. Mix for 15 seconds at speed 4.

Incorporate the coffee into the cake

10 sec/Speed 3

Add 300 grams of coffee to the Thermomix glass. Mix for 10 seconds at speed 3.

Bake the cake

Pour the mixture into a previously greased mold with baking paper at the base. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool and unmold.

Prepare the frosting

20 sec/Speed 4

Place 100 grams of cream cheese and 150 grams of butter in the Thermomix glass. Mix for 20 seconds at speed 4.

Add the icing sugar

Add 140 grams of icing sugar to the Thermomix glass. Mix for 15 seconds at speed 3.

Flavor the frosting

Add 2 teaspoons of coffee essence and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder to the Thermomix glass. Mix for 10 seconds at speed 3.

Decorate the cake

Cut the cake into two layers. Fill with part of the frosting and cover the cake with the rest of the frosting. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top.
