Description

These small tarts are a delicious and easy to prepare appetizer, perfect for parties or a special brunch. The combination of creamy blue cheese with the sweetness of orange marmalade is simply irresistible. I often prepare them when I have guests for dinner and they are always a great success. The shortcrust pastry base, prepared at home with the Thermomix®, is crumbly and light. A touch of fresh mint completes everything, giving an unmistakable aroma. Try them, they are truly exquisite!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 250 g Flour 00
  • 125 g Cold butter
  • 60 ml Cold water
  • 5 g Salt
  • 150 g Blue cheese
  • 50 ml Fresh cream
  • 100 g Orange marmalade
  • 1 bunch Mint leaves

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the shortcrust pastry

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Pour 250g of flour 00 into the bowl. Add 125g of cold butter in pieces and 5g of salt. Set 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Addition of water and kneading

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 60ml of cold water slowly into the bowl and knead for 2 Min./Knetstufe.

Resting the dough

Remove the dough from the bowl, form a ball, wrap it in transparent film and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Rolling and shaping the small tarts

Roll out the dough on a floured surface with a rolling pin until it is about 2 millimeters thick. Cut out the shapes with a special mold.

Preparing the small tarts for baking

Place the prepared shapes on a muffin tin, previously buttered and floured. Pierce the bottom of each small tart with a fork.

Baking in the oven

Bake the small tarts in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Preparation of the cheese cream

Pour 150g of blue cheese in pieces into the bowl. Add 50ml of fresh cream. Set 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Filling and decoration

Transfer the cheese cream into a pastry bag. Fill the small tarts with the cheese cream, decorate with orange marmalade, a few cubes of cheese and mint leaves to taste.
