Description

These savory puff pastry pockets are a delicious finger food snack, ideal for parties or as an appetizer. Filled with sour cream, Cheddar, tomatoes and herbs, they are easy to prepare and ready in about 40 minutes. The recipe yields 6 servings and is perfect for a hearty treat.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 150 g Sour cream
  • 100 g Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 EL Parsley frozen
  • 2 EL Chives frozen
  • 8 Stück Cocktail tomatoes
  • 1 Stück Egg size M
  • 1 TL Milk
  • 1 Prise(n) Salt
  • 1 Prise(n) Pepper
  • 1 TL Curry
  • 1 TL Paprika powder

Preparation (11 steps)

1

Prepare puff pastry

Lay out frozen puff pastry sheets on a floured work surface and let thaw.

2

Prepare Cheddar cheese

Cut 100 g Cheddar cheese into thin strips and then into small pieces.

3

Prepare vegetables

Cut 8 cocktail tomatoes into small pieces with the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2 and the fine disc. Collect the cut material and set aside.

4

Prepare filling

Put 150 g sour cream, the cut tomatoes, the Cheddar, 2 tbsp parsley frozen, 2 tbsp chives frozen, 1 pinch(s) salt, 1 pinch(s) pepper and 1 tsp curry in a bowl and mix well. Season with the spices to your own taste.

5

Cut puff pastry

Cut the slightly thawed puff pastry sheets into four equal-sized, rectangular pieces.

6

Apply filling

Use a teaspoon to put a dollop of the filling on one side of the rectangle. Fold one end over the other to create an almost square pillow shape.

7

Close dough

Press the particles together on all four sides with a pastry fork. Also press together on the closed fourth side so that the particles bake evenly.

8

Prick dough

Prick each particle on top with a fork.

9

Prepare egg yolk

Separate 1 egg and add 1 tsp milk to the egg yolk, mix well.

10

Brush dough

Brush the pillows with the egg yolk.

11

Baking

Bake the pastries at approx. 200 degrees top/bottom heat for 20-25 minutes.
