Description

These homemade chapatis are a delicious and simple alternative to traditional bread. Perfect to accompany curries, spiced vegetables or simply to be enjoyed with a drizzle of oil. The recipe is incredibly easy and quick, ideal for those who have little time but do not want to give up the taste of freshly made bread. I often prepare them for dinner, and they are always a success! They are vegan and require only a few basic ingredients that you usually already have at home. Try them, you won't regret it!

  • Chapati flour
  • Water
  • Salt

Dough preparation

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, pour the chapati flour, water and salt. Knead for 2 Min./kneading speed.

Dough resting

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Form a ball, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.

Forming the chapatis

Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each piece with a rolling pin to form a thin disc of about 15-20 cm in diameter.

Cooking the chapatis

Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Cook each chapati for about 2-3 minutes per side, until bubbles form and the surface is lightly golden brown.
