Description

This Texas Party Dip is a hearty and cheesy-creamy dip with ground beef, salsa, and Mexican cheese. It is ideal as finger food or an appetizer for parties and game nights. Preparation takes about 35 minutes and the recipe is designed for a larger group. Served with tortilla chips, it's the perfect snack for any occasion.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 400 g Ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning or ground seasoning
  • 250 g Cream cheese, soft
  • 240 ml Sour cream
  • 240 ml Salsa
  • 240 g Grated Mexican cheese (or Cheddar)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder (optional)
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Preparation (10 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F).

Fry ground meat

Brown ground beef in a separate pan over medium heat until brown. Drain off excess fat.

Add taco seasoning

Add 1 packet of taco seasoning to the fried ground beef in the pan and prepare according to package instructions (usually add some water and simmer).

Prepare creamy base

Add cream cheese, soft, sour cream, salsa, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to the mixing bowl and mix. Of course, this can also be done in a bowl.

Add ground beef

Add the seasoned ground beef from the pan to the creamy base in the mixing bowl.

Mix dip

Mix the ingredients in the mixing bowl for 15 sec/reverse rotation speed 2 to distribute the ground beef evenly in the creamy base.

Fill dip in baking dish

Pour the mixture from the mixing bowl into a baking dish and spread evenly.

Sprinkle cheese over it

Sprinkle grated Mexican cheese (or Cheddar) evenly over the dip in the baking dish.

Bake

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbly and the cheese is completely melted.

Serve

Let the Texas Party Dip cool slightly and serve warm with tortilla chips.
