Description

This Fattoush salad is an explosion of freshness and Mediterranean flavors! Perfect for hot summer days, it is a light and nutritious dish that is prepared in a flash. The combination of crunchy vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes and radishes, together with the aromatic scent of parsley and mint, makes it irresistible. The pita bread croutons, baked until golden and crispy, add a delicious note and a touch of extra texture. Ideal as an appetizer or as a light main course, this salad is a real concentrate of vitamins and taste. Prepare it for a quick lunch or an informal dinner with friends, you will make a great impression!

Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 1 piece red onions
  • 6 piece radishes
  • 1 piece cucumber
  • 3 piece tomatoes
  • 1 piece small romaine lettuce
  • parsley
  • mint
  • olive oil
  • lemon juice
  • pepper
  • fine salt
  • 1 piece pita bread
  • olive oil
  • pepper

  • lemon slices

Preparation (10 steps)

Sliced onion

Peel 1 red onion and cut it into thin slices. Set aside.

Sliced radishes

Trim 6 radishes and cut them into very thin slices. Set aside.

Cucumber in cubes

Take 1 cucumber, trim it on both sides and then peel it with a potato peeler. Cut it into cubes. Set aside.

Sliced ​​lettuce

Slice 1 small head of lettuce (or the heart of a large lettuce). Set aside.

Vegetables in the bowl

Combine the sliced red onion, sliced radishes, diced cucumber and sliced lettuce in a large bowl. Set aside.

In the bowl, pour enough olive oil, enough lemon juice, enough fine salt and enough pepper and mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3.

Season the salad

Pour the emulsion over the salad in the bowl and mix well. Finally add enough parsley and enough mint, broken into pieces with your hands.

Pita bread in cubes

Take 1 pita bread and cut it into regular cubes.

Pita bread croutons

Transfer the pita bread cubes to a baking sheet covered with baking paper, season with enough olive oil, enough fine salt and enough pepper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 Min.

Serve

Pour the croutons over the salad, move everything to a serving dish and decorate with enough lemon slices. Serve our fattoush immediately, to prevent the bread from softening.
